Actual Conservatism

"We're here to fight Liberalism within the Republican Party"  - Andrew Clack

Rodney Alexander voted YES on the $850 Billion dollar financial bailout. We thank all the

Conservative citizens who tried to stop Alexander from making this outrageous decision

by calling his office. It is time for Rodney to go. We hope you will support an Actual

Conservative by voting for Andrew Clack in the Republican Primary.

Help Andrew take back the Republican Party by showing up to vote Saturday October 4th.

Why is Andrew Clack running for Louisiana's 5th Congressional District?

Short Answer:

To provide an actual voice for Conservatives in Washington so as to stop the spread of Liberalism; both outside and inside the Republican Party.

Long Answer:

Over the past few years, Moderates and Liberals bearing the Republican moniker have been trying to shift the Party to the left.  The greatest of these interlopers is John McCain – our presidential candidate and Party “leader”.  Sadly, I have seen too many Republican “Conservatives” saying that we need to “stop complaining” and “get behind” McCain and his policies.  I disagree.

For far too long, we have watched Republicans put the interest of the Party above the interests of our Nation.  The goal of political parties is not to perpetuate the Party, but to advance the ideals that coalesced them together in the first place.  Unfortunately, our two party system (Republican/Democrat) has become so entrenched that, instead of new Parties rising, falling, or replacing the establishment (Like they did in years past - Remember the Federalists or the Wigs), the ideas of each party shift to suit the current leadership.

This is a disturbing prospect when one considers the current crop of Presidential Hopefuls.  Regardless of which candidate or Party wins the White House, the Border will remain open, Amnesty will be granted, Guantanamo Bay will be closed, the Bush Tax Cut will be repealed, the Kyoto Protocol will be signed, ANWR will remain untapped, Liberal Justices will be appointed, Free Speech will be trampled upon (Fairness Doctrine and McCain/Fiengold), and a whole host of other ills will be made manifest.  Because of this fact, our last line of defense is the Senate and House of Representatives.

Assuming that John McCain is elected to the Presidency, my job will be to oppose his policies where they run afoul of Conservatism.  The Republican Party cannot be allowed to shift to the left.  We Conservatives must fight Liberalism in all its forms and guises, especially when it is advanced by so-called Republicans.  Should the Republican Party acquiesce to Liberalism, our voices and opinions will be muted.  I will not allow this to happen.

We Conservatives can recognize the difference between “holding the line” and “advancing conservatism”.  Our job is not to merely slow the growth of government, but to actually reduce its size and scope.  Our job is not to stop the Liberal’s incursions into our lives, but to push them back into their Constitutionally defined demarcations.

Our job is to expand freedom, to reduce government dependency, and to invigorate the people by reminding them that we live in the Greatest Nation that has ever existed in the history of humanity.  If no one else will say it…I will.  If no one else will do it…I will.
