Ladies and Gentlemen,
We must never forget the sacrifice of those Great Men that came before. From Pearl Harbor, to D-Day, to the ultimate Unconditional Surrender of Germany and Japan, these men suffered the ravages of pain and death to preserve our Freedom. We owe them our Lives, our Liberty, and consequently our Respect.
These fighting men were then, and still are today, the strength of our nation, and it was Freedom that made them so. It was from Freedom that they derived their strength, for it was for Freedom's Sake that they struggled on.
We must never be content to consign these men and their deeds to the Annals of History. Remember them for the sake of Liberty. Remember them for the sake of Freedom.
June 6th, 1944 changed the world forever. It showed every nation the Strength of America, nay, the Strength that is America. It unequivocally demonstrated the Power that is born from the Hearts of Freemen. It proved to the world that Tyranny need not be triumphant, so long as Liberty-Loving People are willing to stand and fight.
Peace is not the absence of War. Peace is not a consequence of Pacifism. Peace is a product of Strength and Freedom - it is maintained by defeating those who would seek its end. One does not maintain Health by allowing disease to spread, but by actively fighting infections and ailments; Peace is no different - it requires action for preservation.
Remember our Heroes, and when given an opportunity, please thank a Veteran. Good Day.
